Access policies and procedures designed to help Network transplant centers work effectively with the NMDP.
- TC Manual of Operations: provides information on searching for, selecting and obtaining an unrelated hematopoietic marrow donor, blood stem cell donor, or cord blood unit (CBU) for transplant
- Confirmatory Typing Policy: outlines the minimum requirements for Confirmatory HLA Typing of patients and unrelated volunteer adult donors
- GRID (Global Registration Identifier for Donors): explains the new global registration identifier for donors and next steps to implementing the GRID standard for donors from the Be The Match Registry.

Operational documents such as manuals of operation, SOPs, policies, forms, etc., are released to NMDP network partners on a quarterly basis. Sixty (60) day notice of changes will be provided whenever possible. - Reimbursement Guidelines for Product Cryopreservation: Reimbursement submission guidelines for product cryopreservation for Apheresis Centers, Collection Centers, and Transplant Centers. All invoices will be reviewed by NMDP prior to payment and additional information may be requested.

With the safety of Related Donors (RD) in mind, we developed clear guidance for RD collections that can be shared with the TC and other members of the NMDP network.
