NMDPSM is committed to the work of ensuring equal outcomes for all in the field of cellular therapy. In order to do so, it is critical to invest in the growth of future and current scientific investigators in this field. With the partnership of generous donations through NMDP Foundation®, we have been able to support the work of scientific investigators through grant programs like the Amy Strelzer Manasevit Research Program and the Barbara Buchbinder Nurse Research Program.
Amy Strelzer Manasevit Research Program
The grant supports the research endeavors of basic scientists and clinical researchers early in their careers. Its goal is to launch these young investigators on a life-long journey to discover solutions to potentially life-threatening post-transplant or post-cellular therapy complications such as infection, relapse or graft-versus-host disease.
This program supports research performed by pediatric BMT nurses that improves the transplant experience and outcomes for pediatric patients.
