Continuing Education Discontinuation

After evaluation with future strategic planning, the National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match has opted to modify is status as a continuing education provider in order to focus our efforts on serving patients in new ways.

Despite this change, the NMDP/Be The Match remains dedicated to delivering education for our healthcare professional audiences. The main impact of this change is a reduction in the number of courses approved for continuing education credits.

The NMDP/Be The Match will discontinue its status for the provider types below.

  • Social worker: ASWB – Association of Social Work Boards – credits discontinued by
    August 10, 2019
  • Laboratory professionals (medical technologists): ASCLS – American Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences – credits discontinued by July 31, 2019

We will continue to be a provider of nursing credits through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

Continuing education records/certificates

Learners may obtain their continuing education records by emailing through December 31, 2026.

In order to receive a certificate, learners must complete the evaluation at the time of attending or viewing the continuing education activity.

After courses are updated to remove credits, learners will no longer be able to complete the evaluation to receive continuing education credits.

Removal of credits from currently approved courses
